Resident Membership – General Surgery Residents

Application Deadlines: Feb. 1, May 1, Aug. 1, Nov. 1

This new category of membership allows residents (through the first year of fellowship) an opportunity to interact with the national pediatric surgery community.  Resident members have a waived membership fee, discounted fee for the annual meeting, access to the members-only section of the APSA web site and a discounted rate for the Journal of Pediatric Surgery.

A resident member must be a general surgery resident in good standing in an ACGME-approved residency program or Royal College of Surgeons equivalent.  Two reference letters are required: one from the general surgery chair or program director and one from an APSA member in good standing.  The term of membership will be for one year and will automatically expire after one year unless a written request for extension is submitted to and approved by the membership and credentials committee.  There are no dues for resident membership, an optional subscription to the Journal of Pediatric Surgery may be purchased at a discounted rate of $189 per year.

To apply for resident membership, you must complete an application.
