APSA Foundation

The APSA Foundation is a source of essential funds to promote education and biomedical research in pediatric surgery. It has served as a gateway for young scientific investigators to become competitive for major external grants. Many previous APSAF scholars have successfully used their seed grants to acquire NIH funding and clearly provide justification of the tremendous return on investment experienced by the Foundation. To honor the lifelong legacy created by Dr. Jay Grosfeld and his immense contributions to APSA, the APSA Foundation, and the field of pediatric surgery, the APSA Foundation Research Support Grants have been renamed the Jay Grosfeld, MD, Scholarships.

The APSA Foundation is recognized as a tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.

Travel Fellowship

The Travel Fellowship, supported by APSA and the APSA Foundation, and a generous grant from Sidra Medical and Research Center, Doha, Qatar, is an annual award for young surgeons from a low-middle income country to attend and experience the educational and networking opportunities of the APSA Annual Meeting.
