Help support the AAP #SaveCHIP Day of Action THIS Wed Jan 10

This week marks 100 days since Congress has failed to extend funding for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Although a short-term funding plan was passed for the program in December, this plan will only extend funding through March 30, and many states are expected to run out of funding sooner than that. The December spending bill expires January 19, and Congress must pass another spending bill to avert a federal government shutdown by January 19. As part of that vote, the AAP, and the APSA Advocacy committee in support of the AAP, is urging lawmakers to take immediate action and extend CHIP funding for five years.

Please help by joining in the #SaveCHIP Day of Action hosted by the AAP on Wednesday, January 10.
The AAP has a newly-updated CHIP Advocacy Toolkit that has everything you need to make your voice heard.

Please join the Advocacy Committee and the AAP in the #SaveCHIP Day of Action on Wednesday and contact your Representative to make your voice heard. Our patients and their families are depending on us!
